Suger opens second store in Portland, Maine
Designer Roxi Suger, who delights women across the nation with her Angelrox array of versatile fashion is putting down roots in Portland, Maine. Her second Suger store opens June 1 at 271 Commercial St. The press preview is May 31st from 5-8pm.
Much more than athleisure, her line of bamboo and organic cotton women’s clothing suits a rich diversity of lifestyles, ages and sizes.
“This is a luxury lifestyle that’s attainable.” said Suger, who crafts with joy sustainable pieces that transition from morning yoga, to the boardroom to a night on the town. “It’s about feeling good at any occasion.” said Suger, who founded Angelrox in 1999 in New York City and moved the business to Biddeford in 2013.
Suger’s new Portland boutique will carry her entire line designed and manufactured in a revived textile mill on the Saco River, as well as accessories and gifts from local makers and global artisans. Reclaiming the spirit of American Industry, Suger, along with her husband and business partner Julian Schlaver have transformed the former E. Swasey & Co. Pottery Building into a sensory experience filled with elegance and history.
Suger Portland opens to the public Thursday June 1st at noon. Regular business hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 pm. To attend the preview please RSVP via email to kyra@angelrox.com.
